Senior Sales Director, Kim Hirt

I began my Mary Kay journey on April 6, 2000. I had been a customer for 10 years prior to joining Mary Kay. You may wonder why it took me 10 years to join. Like so many women we meet I had all the excuses, I worked full time as a dance/movement therapist, plus ran a private counseling practice. I was a PTA mom, Sunday school teacher, girl scout leader, taxi driver for my 2 children Danielle and Jonathan and on the boards of a variety of organizations. Where was I going to find the time? And to do what? Sell make-up? God has a sense of humor and laid me off from my job, which gave me the opportunity to really listen to what being a Mary Kay consultant really is. Understanding what's inside the "pink bubble" made me realize that Mary Kay was much more than make-up.
I debut as a sSales Director in Sept. 2005. The key ingredients for finishing DIQ were consistency, focus and determination. Since debuting, I have enjoyed teaching others these same ingredients, plus the importance of a positive attitude!. This has extended into my family. My husband, Jeff who is extremely supportive of the Mary Kay philosophy, utilizes Mary Kay 's management style at his employment. It also has been a joy to watch my children, Danielle and Jonathan, develop their strengths and believe in the" I can do it " philosophy. Like Mary Kay said, our children learn what is caught, not taught.
The benefits I have received from Mary Kay are so numerous. I really appreciate the Ledda area Directors, especially my National, Maureen Ledda. The "heart felt" experiences have touched me the most. I believe I am a better wife, mom, communicator, friend, consultant , Christian and leader because of them. THANK YOU!
A special highlight of my Mary Kay career was my first gold medal which propelled me to my first diamond bubble bee. Knowing that when I follow the Mary Kay plan, it works! What an amazing concept!
I am looking forward to my future in Mary Kay. The company is so stable, dependable and on the cutting edge of everything. I am excited about developing my Unit toward Pink Cadillac status, to help women find their God hidden talent and to be a representative for the company as a NSD!
